What this tool checks
The review is grouped into four parts. Each check is marked as passed, worth improving, or failed, and the overall score is the weighted proportion of checks that passed.
Fundamentals
Whether the page is served over HTTPS, and whether it has a usable title tag, meta description, declared language and canonical link. These are the elements a search engine reads first, and the ones most often missing on small business websites.
Content and structure
Word count, the ratio of visible text to markup, heading hierarchy, and image alt text. A page with very little text, or with its content buried in markup, gives a search engine little to work with, regardless of how good the business is.
Technical SEO
Robots.txt, XML sitemap, URL structure, structured data and social sharing tags. These determine how easily a site is discovered and how it appears when someone shares a link to it.
AI and answer-engine readiness
A newer category, and one most audit tools still ignore. Assistants such as ChatGPT,
Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews read pages directly, and generally do not
run the JavaScript a search crawler might. This section reports whether the content is
present in the raw HTML, whether the page uses semantic landmarks, whether an
llms.txt file is published, and which AI crawlers the site currently allows
or blocks. Whether to allow those crawlers is a commercial decision rather than a fault,
so it is reported rather than scored.

Does this check my whole site?
No. It reviews the single page at the address you enter, plus that site's robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt files. To review every business in an area, use the main ppclift application.
Why does my score differ from other tools?
Every tool weights checks differently. Treat the score as a summary and the individual checks as the useful part; a failed structured data check is actionable in a way that a number out of one hundred is not.
Is there a limit?
There is a modest daily limit per visitor to keep the tool responsive for everyone. Creating a free account removes it.
